Hi, my name is Clare, founder and head tutor of The Global Education Exchange (TGEE), a Chinese enrichment centre for primary and secondary school students.

I know exactly what your child is going through because I’ve experienced the same.

At the age of 12, I moved to Singapore from Xi’an, China with zero ability to speak English. I had to learn the language from scratch.

"It was hard for me. I struggled for a while before I found my footing. Thus I can empathise with what your child is going through with Chinese."

Since then, I have experienced the Singaporean education system of PSLE, O Level, A Level and University and I can relate to the demands of the local education system.

I started teaching private Chinese tuition during my university days, using my unique position of a native Chinese speaker with a Singaporean education background to help kids struggling with the language.

I created DailyExcel, an award-winning system for learning Chinese. 

DailyExcel won the first prize at the Student Entrepreneur Award in 2016, awarded by the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME).

After some years in the finance industry, I’ve decided to return to my true passion: teaching. 

Now, I endeavor to help the children who remind me of my younger self, fresh-faced and struggling to grasp a new language.
